Job Summary: The Part-Time IT Infrastructure Support Associate will work in a collaborative Infrastructure team environment, gaining hands-on experience in IT asset management, hardware setup, and user support within a professional environment. This role involves preparing, configuring, and deploying computer systems across the organization. The associate will also assist with monitoring and assigning helpdesk tickets.

 

Duration: June 3 – August 22, 2025 (12 weeks)

Location: Onsite at our Hoffman Estates, IL  (Remote option available after 90 days)

Hours: 30 hours/week (M–TH, 7.5 hours/day)

Potential: Continued part-time work during the school year + consideration for full-time employment upon graduation

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in imaging, configuring, and deploying laptops, desktops, and related hardware.

· Install and update software and operating systems as per company standards.

· Support IT staff with inventory tracking and equipment organization.

· Document deployment processes, hardware issues, and resolutions.

· Maintain a clean and organized deployment area.

· Help troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues during deployment.

· Provide technical support to end-users during equipment rollouts.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or another related field preferred.

· Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS environments.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

· Familiarity with computer hardware components and peripherals.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 30 lbs.).

· Excellent problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in an IT Infrastructure team environment.
