Position Summary: The Principal, Product Management ADAS/EV, is a senior level individual contributor responsible for the conception, development, launch and operational success of assigned ADAS and EV products and programs. This role defines product vision and strategy, ensuring that product initiatives deliver measurable value to customers and the business. 

 

The Principal, Product Management is responsible for managing multiple ADAS/EV product lines and driving creation of business strategies including product planning, continuous improvement and execution throughout product lifecycle, including (but not limited to): 

 

  • Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements
  • Defining product vision
  • Working cross functionally to ensure all product initiatives deliver value to our customers
  • Achieving revenue goals
  • Defining and tracking product-level metrics
  • Conducting periodic checks on execution quality and developing product line specific initiatives to address variances in KPIs
  • This is a strategic role that also requires strong tactical execution, leadership through influence, and deep industry expertise. 

 

Essential Job Functions:  

  • Manages the entire product line life cycle from strategic concept planning through launch and obsolescence procedures
  • Owns P&L responsibility for assigned product lines and ensures delivery of financial and customer adoption goals
  • Develops and executes a three-year product roadmap and associated execution plan aligned with company strategy
  • Establishes product vision, business cases, and value propositions that align with customer needs and market trends
  • Monitors market and regulatory trends in ADAS, EV and automotive safety to inform portfolio adjustments and innovation priorities
  • Engages with customers, partners and industry influencers to capture emerging needs and competitive intelligence
  • Drives Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback programs to guide new product development and continuous improvement
  • Collaboratrs cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing and Sales to ensure successful execution of product plans
  • Defines clear product positioning, messaging and pricing strategies to support go-to-market execution
  • Prioritizes initiatives, evaluates resource allocation, and oversees timing for new product launches
  • Conducts benchmarking and ongoing analysis of competitive offerings and market performance
  • Ensures all initiatives adhere to I-CAR’s quality standards while fostering continuous improvement 

 

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:  

  • Deep understanding of ADAS and EV systems, vehicle connectivity, sensors, software integration, and relevant safety or compliance standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, navigate ambiguity, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present complex concepts to leadership team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and product management tools
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and degage tasks effectively when appropriate 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field required or commensurate work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in product management, preferably in the automotive, EV, or ADAS industries.
  • Proven experience defining and launching successful technology products with measurable outcomes
  • Expertise in Salesforce with ability to create dashboards, complete product setup, and engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
