Position Summary:

The Product Owner will play a significant role in the Agile development process as the key stakeholder for assigned product(s). This person will report to the Manager, IT Applications, Agile. This individual will be responsible for managing assigned projects or products in an agile-based environment. The Product Owner champions the product vision and acts as the primary advocate for the end-users and stakeholders while collaborating with the development team. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst or Quality Assurance in a technical capacity and have knowledge of Lean principles.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Own the product roadmap and backlog for their respective team.
  • Collaborate with Business Stakeholders to prioritize the backlog based on business value and strategic goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand the business needs, with a focus on future state requirements within the desired platform.
  • Work closely with the vendor solution architects/administrators to understand the GAP analysis of current state features to future state features.
  • Create clear documentation and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • Act as a business expert and decision maker for the Agile team, ensuring alignment with the business expectations.
  • Creates and refine user stories and acceptance criteria, working with the team members.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Stand-ups.
  • Develop and execute an organizational change management framework; communication, training, and post-implementation support.
  • Gather information, sort through issues, seek input from others, and make timely decisions to adapt to changing priorities.

 

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

  • Experience with Salesforce Core product and features preferred
  • Jira Experience Required
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies, SCRUM, Kanban, Lean
  • Experience with LMS, CRM and CSM platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of four years of experience with Agile development methodology or Four years of Business Analysis experience.
