Job Summary:
The Senior Associate, IT Quality Analyst will work as a bridge between the business needs and the technical capabilities of the development team to ensure software delivered satisfies business objectives. This person will be involved in projects from the beginning to develop a testing strategy to help deliver a quality product. This person must have a thorough understanding of how to interpret business requirements, analyze for gaps then convert requirements into a test plan that is understood by the technical team. Strong analytical and communication skills are required including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, team members and subject matter experts
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop a test strategy for each project. Work with the Product Owner to understand the needs of each project and formulate a strategy for achieving a high level of quality
- Design, develop and execute detailed test cases based on business requirements
- Monitor and continuously refine the testing strategy. Watch for quality issues and work to fix the process
- Participate in user story creation and ensure acceptance criteria are detailed and clear
- Collaborates and communicates with Developers throughout the Sprint to provide guidance and support on testing process during the development stage.
- Detect and document the defects, analyze the test results and identify areas for improvement
- Define and perform the necessary level of regression testing for each release
- Manage testing tasks efficiently under tight deadlines in fast paced environments
- Build and enhance test case repository using test case management tool
- Mentor and lead other Quality Analysts assigned to projects
- Attend and contribute to all Agile SCRUM ceremonies
- Estimate the scope and size of the testing effort for each user story
- Identify, track and report defect metrics
- Utilize business and application skills and experience to help provide first level application support
- Recommend changes, products etc. that will help to improve our software development and testing process
- Continue to advance knowledge and skills by keeping current with new testing technologies and the Agile SCRUM process
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or another related field
- 5+ years of software testing experience
- Experience working in an Agile Environment.
- Utilize business and application skills and experience to help provide first level application support.
- Ability to understand business objectives and IT delivery capabilities to provide effective test strategies.
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, and other Agile Tools required.
- Salesforce B2B Commerce/Cloud Craze experience required.
- Issue troubleshooting skills and ability to query databases
- User Interface testing with cross browser testing tools
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, impeccable organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask between projects with minimal loss in productivity.
- Ability to work with minimal direction logical and efficient with keen attention to detail.
