Job Summary:
The Principal, Product Analyst is responsible for the development of detailed business requirements then works cross-functionally to test and prepare internal and external customers for product and process change resulting from successful delivery of roadmap items. The Principal, Product Analyst will collaborate with IT, Customer Care, Sales, Marketing, and other departments throughout the development process to plan for product lifecycle execution and uphold high standards of quality to deliver and launch customer-focused products that achieve business objectives and meet customer needs.
The Principal, Product Analyst is responsible for contributing requirements across multiple product lines and creating or coordinating the delivery of artifacts and diagrams supporting the agile software development process for each product through a 4Ps disciplined approach. Responsible for product planning, continuous improvement, and execution throughout product lifecycle, including (but not limited to):

Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, translating them into clear product specs or use cases.

Collaborate with Product Managers and agile teams to prioritize product features, participate in UAT to validate functionality and ensure quality of deliverables.

Prepare and coordinate product artifacts supporting business requirements and design. Work cross functionally to ensure all product initiatives deliver value to our customers

Tracking product-level metrics including market penetration, churn,

Conducting periodic checks on execution quality and developing product line specific initiatives to address variances in KPIs

Provide support and training to cross-functional teams, ensuring successful product launch and adoption.
Primary Job Responsibilities

Manages the entire product line life cycle from strategic concept planning through end-of-life sunset procedures

Understands segment influencers, including customer demographics, competitive assessments, and market needs

Monitors market trends, needs, and responds accordingly by recommending appropriate countermeasures

Makes and executes product decisions within product portfolio

Participates as a key stakeholder in cross-functional product and business development teams

Cultivates, establishes, builds, and maintains key internal and external relationships, including cross-functional teams, sales, and opinion leaders

Defines and implements clear product positioning, messaging, key features, and benefits products/services that will guide communications

Serves as Subject Matter Expert on deliverables relating to products/services

Defines and conducts benchmarking plan, including ongoing analysis

Conducts risk analysis of proposed products, including at critical milestones

Contributes to 3-year product roadmap planning and execution Prioritizes task to ensure all delivery targets are met

Evaluates prime opportunities and appropriate timing for product launch based on capacity and customer needs

Keeps up to date on new developments and trends to understand customer and market needs for assigned products

Develops customer feedback collection plan and analysis to drive continuous improvement
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required or commensurate work experience

Minimum 10 + years’ experience as either a business analyst or product owner, working in a product management lead agile software environment

Experience in adult education product marketing and/or training, learning and development experience strongly desired.

Salesforce experience is preferred but not required
